1- Deeper meanings of the Ayaat from a grammatical aspect, meanings that are lost in the English translations.

2- To demonstrate the cohesive flowing nature of the Quran, and how it’s all one unified argument.

3- The precision of word choice, why a specific word is used, as opposed to other words that have the same meaning.

Tafseer Surat Al-Qadr – Part 1

In this lesson (Aayaat 1-3 of Surat Al-Qadr) we’ll study:

  • The amazing relationships between Surat Al-Alaq and Surat Al-Qadr
  • The pronouns that occur for Allah in the Quran
  • Why does Allah say about himself “We”?
  • When was the first Laylat Al-Qadr?
  • How was the Quran revealed?
  • What are the 3 means of Qadr?
  • What is the unique style that’s found ONLY in this Surah of the Quran?
  • The exact night of Qadr was about to be revealed, then something happen, what was it? and why didn’t Allah inform us of when the night of Qadr occurs?

Tafseer Surat Al-Qadr – Part 2

In this lesson part 2 (Aayah 3 – end of Surat Al Qadr), we will discuss:

  • Why were the Angels called Malaaikah?
  • Why was Jibreel called Ar-rouh?
  • How is the Quran proven a miracle through the use of just one letter?
  • What do the Angels seek permission for when coming down during Laylat Al-Qadr?
  • Due to the short age of the members of this Ummah, what are the many gifts Allah gave us to catch up to those before us that would live for 1000s of years?
  • The subtle difference between the words Tanazal (come down) and TaTanazal (also to come down)?
  • Why is the life span of the member of this Ummah short, between 60 – 70 years?
